Coloringbook for "Ung Kreft"

I am a survivor of cancer and throughout the hardest times, drawing and art has been a motivation and a way for me to escape the difficulties in life. Whenever I draw, I lose track of time and my mind is set on whatever I am creating. For me art will always be my passion.
"Ung Kreft", which means "Young Cancer", is a Norwegian organisation for young people with cancer and their relatives. Ung Kreft requested a series of line-art drawings from Mystery Art and have created a coloring book that is sold for income to young cancer-affected people and their relatives. I am really happy for the opportunity to contribute my line-art to this great cause. It meant a lot to me personally having Ung Kreft there for me after the disease. Ung Kreft made me feel like I was a part of something and foremost that I was not alone.
You can purchase the line-art book on Ung Krefts site click here.

Bookmarks for Bergen Christmasmarked 2017

From Oct to December 2017 Sunniva worked hard, making some aquarelle paintings into bookmarks. These were planned to be finished by the 11.th of december, when Sunniva and her mother had a stall at Bergen Christmas market. They only paid for one day, so they could see how it went, and get some experience.
She started by sketching the ideas into some long rectangular shapes. Then they were painted with aquarelle paint. Some fan art, some norwegian trolls, some fantasy creatures and animals were made.
When she had 13 different original designs, she painted the back cover for them all.
Then they were cut out, scanned and later printed at a local printing company.
The finished prints, were then being glued together by hand and laminated.
The last finish, was then done by her little brother and sister, who came to help making some braided ties, that would hang from the end of the bookmarks.
When all was done, and the day of the christmas market came, Sunniva and her mother sat all their homemade things in the stall and was excited to see how much they would sell to customers.
The stall was making good money and it was a flow of people all day long.
This was a very exciting experience, and Sunniva and her mother hope to continue going to new markets in the future.
Insect Dragons 2014

The second year was the last at HAKU (Hardanger Kunstskole). Sunniva had a final project that reflected previous courses and classes. The exam regarded deeper studies of a subject. Each student decided their own subject, Sunniva wanted to challenge the thought of combining insects to something mythical in her realm of fantasy.
Sunniva was introduced to Prismacolor pencils through a fellow student at HAKU. She really enjoyed drawing and experimenting with these new pencils. She quickly realized the full potential of accuracy and precicion that was achievable with these particular pencils. Which inspired her to try and draw photorealistic studies of different types of insects, that fascinated her.
She started with the insects studies, where she wanted to draw as realistic as possible. Sunniva tried to get as much detail as possible and as you probably can tell, she really likes shiny things. The reflectance from the different surfaces was the biggest challenge and what she wanted to work around. After the several studies on ca. A5 format, the idea was to create two new creatures with inspiration from the exact insects she already had drawn.
This exam was exhibited at the local gallery "PULS" in Norheimsund.
If you are interested to own one of the originals or the entire original collection, contact Sunniva and she will make you an offer.
